MB fashion week // day five

Day five. Final day. Fashion week done and dusted for another year. Lots of bright colours and crazy nails on day five. I loved Nikki Phillips stunning orange dress she wore today, with nude accessories and shiny black nails. Stunning!

I certainly look forward to checking out all of the new ranges displayed over the week on website boutiques and in stores throughout the cities. Very exciting!!

Elin Kling was a highlight for me over the week; I admire her style a lot and loved seeing what she came up with everyday.

MB fashion week // day four

Oh day four... One more day down and the final day is nearing. As exciting as all of the shows, fashion, street style, celeb spotting and parties are, it's quite sad that the week has to end. But on the up side, hopefully thats the last Sydney fashion week i'll have to witness and participate in via the net and my twitter feed. Take me there! (Yes, i'll keep dreaming. But hard work and a little dream can't hurt, right?)

Loving the pics from day four, especially colour blocked lips. Not sure if i would be game enough to rock them, maybe one day, but i certainly think they are uber chic! 

I also have a huge soft spot for the Josh Goot leather range. This skirt is amaze!

Bring on the final day. Let's hope theres plenty of fire works and a huge finale. Until then...

MB fashion week // day three

With day three complete, the week is over half way. 2012 is sure set to be another amazing year for all this fashion. Fashion week is the most exciting time for any fashion lover.

I just have to say, to our Australian designers, you are all amazing and so talented! We really have such good collections and amazing designers in this country, people! This is something to be so excited about. This mixed with the international likes of Whitney Port's label, Whitney Eve and WE by Whitney Eve, all i have to say is; I can't wait to see the collections come to life in boutiques and stores across this fine country of ours. 

(The patterns and colours are stunning again, as they were on day two. The green turquoise is another winner for me, love this colour! So happy it will be sticking around for a little while longer for some more fun. But my favourite look for the day goes to the stunning yellow floor length gown by Lisa Ho. S-t-unning!)

MB fashion week // day two

Day two got well under way this morning with Zimmerman up first. But from the photos and photos, and more photos that i've seen throughout day 2, my favourite collection would have to be Talulah. Iv'e never been so excited for the upcoming spring and summer. I know, i know, thats such a long way off, but that's why fashion week is so exciting, it really gets everyone so excited to be able to rock the new collections. But the one thing about fashion at the moment is that anything goes. It really is true; we've seen colour blocking and bold colours styled with pastels. The colours are patterns mixed with the designs shown at Talulah are so amazing. So exciting! I can't wait to see it in stores. 

Celebrities, models and editors were again out in force, with Lara Bingle turning heads again, looking smashing! But the fashion wasn't the only thing turning heads; the hair styles were nothing short of spectacular. My favourite was definitely the Kate Moss inspired Zimmerman white buns and ties. Something that could perhaps be rocked not only on the runway, but off as well.

MB fashion week // day one

Lara Bingle - this is one of my favourite looks. That hair is amazing! And those metallic jeans!!! 

Right now i'm picturing myself, just getting off a plane from LAX, or maybe Heathrow, my bag carrier following on behind me, en route to MBFWA in Sydney. Jump in a cab, a quick touch up of the light curls and a touch of Victoria's Secret pink lipgloss, find my seat among designers, bloggers and celebrities, and i'm all set for the shows to start. 

But it seems there's only one thing standing in the way of myself and the glamour and lights of fashion week, and that's my doona. A doona that seems my best friend on this freezing country day in the bed which i've just woken up from some crazy, amazing dream. Oh, to be at fashion week right now! 

J-e-alous. 

But that's one dream i'm determined to stay in touch with. Because where would any of us be without an initial dream, right? One day that will be me. Maybe after years of slogging it out backstage fetching coffee for the fortunate, but for right now i'm all about fashion dreaming and looking at the positives. And right now the positives of me not being at fashion week in Sydney are being warm and toasty by the fire, refreshing my twitter feed and bookmarked blog pages frequently to keep up to date. Pictures and commentary galore and suddenly it feels as though i'm sitting front row.
