Peplum love

At first, I was a bit hesitant about trying this trend, because I wasn't sure that it would suit me, but after seeing the amazing Olivia Palermo rocking leather peplum, I was more than convinced. I think it is such a great look for winter and I hope it stays around for a while. The best thing about the peplum trend is that you are free to indulge into lunch or dessert without feeling fashionably restricted. Peplum style tops flatter everyone and are certainly a sexy option to wear with a skirt or jeans. Hot hot hot!!

DOUBLE DENIM. YAY OR NAY?

My jury is still out on the whole 'double denim trend'. I'm such a fan of denim as a fabric; whether it be jeans, jackets, shorts or tops. But I think the 'double denim' trend looks its best when worn together as two tone. (That being, two different shades of denim together.) Other wise it looks like a photo from my crazy ancestors party album. (If you know what i mean.) I love that there are so many shades of denim around at the moment, even coloured denim is huge right now, which makes it a lot easier to hit the trend on the head. It is a bit of a bold move to pair denim together, but when it's done right, I think it looks amazing. A real thrown together, casual-chic look.

JEANS AND HEELS

One thing i'm really loving right now is jeans and heels! For a casual day at the shops or paired with a nice tee and boyfriend blazer for a night of drinks with the girls. I love that heels are being worn more and more on the streets, not just kept for 'formal occasions.' My two favourite styles to pair with heels being boyfriend jeans and skinny leg. Definitely a favourite for winter.
